Coincidentally, I got some black gesso about a month or two ago and I've been working on black backgrounds myself lately (I promise I'll post some new pieces soon).
Thank you so much :) I finished this in almost one session. And fortunatelly I did not mess it up, because I was in such a hurry. Can't wait to see your new works. I also want to work more with gesso someday. I always imagined to do a pick with fishes (undersea) and use the gesso to make it look a little bit 3D, but I have no concrete plan to go at it yet ;)
My name is Julia Takagi (高木ユリア) I'm actually from Germany, my husband is Japanese and we live in Japan since 2005. One of my greatest passions is painting. I had several exhibitions (solo- and groupshows) in Germany (Wiesbaden, Hofheim), Japan (Hakodate, Fukuoka, Tokyo, Nagoya, Makurazaki), Korea (Seoul and Cheong Ju at the ICA 2010) and two in the USA (LaGrange, Georgia). The beautiful nature of Japan inspires me and I paint almost every day.
